Anti-virus Isn't a Software
It's a mindset. Take a look at these simple suggestions for developing the right anti-virus attitude.
- Watch out for files from strangers. If you don't know the sender, don't open it.
- Update your anti-virus software. The software is an important part of the mindset. Viruses are built to find gaps in older software. That's why updated anti-virus versions are key. Make software updates a regular practice.
- Suspicious subject line = suspicious file. Even if you know the sender, you may be receiving something from a hacked account. If the subject line looks shady, don't touch the file.
- Back up your files. Because an attack can still happen to the most cautious of us. You'll save yourself a lot of hassle by having a backup.
- Always err on the side of caution. If in doubt, leave it alone. If you ever have a question on something you received "from FSG Bank," don't touch it until you call Customer Care at 855-693-7422. We'd rather you be cautious than compromised.
